Aphasia is the culmination of 5 years of musical collaboration. The natural progression was to form a band that would allow them to make the kind of music that they like to listen to, and so, in November 2003, Aphasia were formed. The band have been close friends for many years, having grown up together in the same town (Maidstone, Kent) and attending the same school. The 4 have been inseparable musically since they formed their first band, 'The Gathering' whilst at school.

In these early years, they gained a large following playing local gigs, winning competitions, and playing live on local radio stations. The Gathering were made up of five members, four of which now make up Aphasia. They are Darren Nesbitt (drums) Liam Nesbitt (bass) Simon Legouais (guitar/keyboards) and Pete Limbert (vocals).

Aphasia are now based in London and have been amassing a sizeable following after consistently astounding crowds with their live performances.
